100% Digital Rexton Gran-D CIC

The C.I.C. (stands for completely-in-the-canal) designation refers to the size of this hearing aid. C.I.C. hearing aids are the smallest size made by the manufacturers. The Gran-D circuit is a true 100% digital circuit with two manual trimpot controls (volume and tone). The manual trimpots give the user an ability to do some fine tuning of this digital hearing aid without having to go to a hearing professional (or sending it back to Lloyds) to get their hearing aid adjusted by computer. Digital circuitry is known for producing clearer and more accurate sound reproduction - similar to CD quality of music as compared to analog cassette tapes or records.

This custom built Gran-D C.I.C. is appropriate for hearing losses ranging primarily from mild to moderate. It's also possible to fit a moderate low tone loss that slopes towards severe in higher frequencies. Since this digital hearing aid is custom built, we need to have impressions of the user's ears. Lloyds sends impression kits out at no charge, or if a person has an existing hearing aid that fits them well we can use that for the casting of a new hearing aid. We prefer new impressions; it's a very safe and simple procedure to do at home.....tens of thousands of our customers have done this over the past 40 years with no problems.

This digital C.I.C. hearing aid sits way down in a person's ear canal and is barely visible to others. Chances are no one would even notice you are wearing a hearing aid. It has a clear plastic "extraction string" with a tiny ball on the end to facilitate removal of the hearing aid when you want to take it out. C.I.C. hearing aids, in general, have several advantages over other sizes of hearing aids. One advantage is better telephone usage. C.I.C.'s have less of a tendency to feedback when you put a telephone right up over your ear. Secondly, with the aid nestled way down in the ear, there is usually much less wind noise during those times a person might be outside, wearing their hearing aids, with the wind blowing.

Due to its very small size, this digital hearing aid does not feature a volume control wheel that a person operates while the aid is in their ear. Volume is set by a tiny screwdriver and remains at that level until the user readjusts it. All C.I.C. hearing aids use the size #10 battery. With normal usage, batteries will last about one week to 10 days in this hearing aid. This Gran-D digital C.I.C. hearing aid comes with a one year warranty, a month's supply of size #10 hearing aid batteries, sturdy storage box, a separate soft pouch carrying case, cleaning tools, and a complete instruction booklet - all at no extra charge.
